Chestnut Court is developed by property management-company Chestnut Court Limited, which is owned and run by father and son team David and Ben Hanson. Together, David and Ben offer a wealth of construction engineering experience. But more importantly, they are both locals to Oxted and share a passion for preserving and promoting the town and all it has to offer.
David was born in Oxted and lived in the town until he was 20 years old. He is the third generation of his family to live in Oxted. David’s grandfather, Frederick Neary, moved to Oxted from Dulwich in 1930. He bought a number of retail properties on Station Road East and formed F W & N Neary to manage the assets; a company David began managing in 1983.
David is a fully qualified Construction Manager, Quantity Surveyor and is a retired member of both the Chartered Institute of Building and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He has worked for major contractors such as Bovis and run his own Quantity Surveying Practice, managing projects all over Europe including the expansion of Heathrow Airport and a £10 million refurbishment of a Grade 2 Listed building in Windsor.
