The Location

Chestnut Court is located on Hoskins Road, quite literally, in the centre of Oxted.

Hoskins Road is a quiet, two-way street with no through traffic yet connects directly to the towns main trunk roads for fast, effortless access in and out of the town.

Better still, being situated on Hoskins Road, Chestnut Court is walking distance to everything this beautiful rural town has to offer. A major supermarket, leisure centre, railway station, several cafes, pubs and restaurants and the majestic peacefulness of Master Park are all within a ten-minute walk.

The historic High Street is awash with fine boutiques, family-run independent restaurants and the services essential to modern life. Master Park is a rolling stretch of green parkland that plays host to Oxted Cricket Club, the annual beer festival and plenty of entertainment on the doorstep of Chestnut Court.

Local Area

The Daily Telegraph 2011 poll listed Oxted as the 20th wealthiest town in Britain. For centuries the area has attracted the affluent and the lovers of land. Manors and mills have characterised the surrounding countryside for many a year. Today, Oxted retains its countryside chic and attracts many of London’s City professionals due to the direct rail route into the nation’s capital.

Nestled next to the North Downs and surrounded by sweeping valleys, Oxted is ideally positioned for woods and walks, pubs and parks and a leisurely drive and a long Sunday lunch.

The town itself dates to Domesday times and its Anglo-Saxon history and heritage are very much in evidence today. St. Mary’s Church serves the local community from its Grade 1 Listed setting. While ‘Old Oxted’ is dotted with fine Tudor architecture and many excellent family homes.
